Giggling is a small & cosy hobby kennel in the western Finland, in the city of Seinäjoki.
I was only 3 years old when my parents took their first english springer spaniel so I grew up by playing with the big spaniel ears..! Later there were also other hunting dogs, such as norwegian elkhounds & finnish hounds in our home. My passion for dogs exploded when my father took his second english springer "Wicky". With Wicky I trained obedience, agility, tracking and went to unofficial shows, but above all she taught me very much about dogs and how rewarding and lovely company and hobbie mates they can be! My very own dog - an ESS aswell - I got when I was 17 years old. She was called
Foogel State Of Art "Clara". With my lovely Clara I continued where I was left aftrer loosing my dear "Wicky". This was the time I first time started to play with an idea of becoming a breeder and I was sure it would be ESS's I would breed. But little I knew what it was about to come..!
Soon after having Clara I started to seek for another dog. As I had moved away from my childhood home into a small flat I thought that there wouldn't be space for another ESS by then. But I wanted a dog that would be - despite the smaller size - physically able to follow Clara and I on our long walks in the forest. And that would be even a bit like an ESS - at least by looks. It didn't take long when I came up with a cavalier - after all a spaniel, too! I believe I was extremely lucky that I then happened to contact Marianne Trogen (kennel Blenmarin) as later on we became very good friends & have had very nice and fruitful co-operation. In year 2002 I got my first, dear & most loving cavalier girl
EE & LV VET CH Blenmarin Pretty Baby "Luna", that became my foundation bitch. I was given the prefix Giggling in year 2006 and in the same year my first and I would say the most important litter was born by C.I.B & Multi Ch Elvenhome Finlandia out of "Luna". This charming little breed stole my heart completely and I could not think my life without these lovely companions anymore! I do still love ESS's and I hope that someday in the future I would own a springer again, but at the moment cavaliers suit our lifestyle and family better.
All our dogs are very much loved family members that live in our cosy house together with us enjoying plenty of attention and care every day. My passion nowadays are dog shows in which we take part regularly. All our dogs are enjoying long walks daily. They love running in the forest and fields and swimming at summertime.
My aim is to breed healthy Cavaliers of good type with open, friendly and fearless character that is attribute for this wonderful little breed. All dogs I use for breeding have clear certificates of heart, eyes and patellas. Most of them are also MRI-scanned for syringomyelia and CC/DE & EF DNA -tested.
We put a lot of efford and work in sozialicing our puppies. They get used in normal family life and things such as other dogs, visitors, children & different sounds. They are always checked and microchipped by a vet + dewormed three times before they leave to their new homes.
